The positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary are ELECTED positions.
The APPOINTED positions on the BIC Executive Committee are Publicist, RAGBRAI Coordinator, Membership Director, Touring Coordinator, Wednesday Night Ride Coordinator, Thursday Night Leisure Ride Coodinator, BICycle Post Editor, Education and Safety Advocate, and Special Events Coordinator.
Members of the Executive Board/Executive Committee are charged with the general operations of the club. They volunteer their time, talents, and energy to keep BIC an important part of bicycling for you, and for the community.
The BIC Board expects BIC members to ride responsibly and predictably, and depends on members to support the club's mission, policies, and activities. If a BIC member is interested in a position on the BIC Executive board/committee, please contact the BIC President or any board member! We encourage BIC members to become involved in their club and bicycling activities and events on a local, state, and national level.
The Executive Board/Committee meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Iowa City Public Library, Room E.
Members are ALWAYS WELCOME at the Board Meetings, and your input is needed and requested. Keep posted through this website for most current dates, times, and topics.
